Ecclesiastical Church Honours Board

Vicars, Rectors and Curates

Church in Wales - St. Peter's Church - Bryngwyn, Raglan

TOP IMAGE
This dark oak board with gold lettering was produced for a church benefactor currently living in Bristol but with a long association with this Welsh church. Nearly fifty names displayed in Roman print go back nearly 800 years and includes the most recent incumbent who began in 2005. There is sufficient space remaining to include the next 100 years after which the lettering may well need renewal.

This oak veneered honours board lists the commanding officers of the Nottingham 1 and William Booth Memorial Hall corps since 1879.
The board is installed at the headquarters of the Salvation Army in Nottingham.
It measures 2440mm wide X 1220 high ( 96" X 48" ). The finished colour or tone is natural oak that has been darkened a little
by the application of varnish.
Black lettering has been used for the names as it contrasts with with light wood colour enough to be easy to read,
gold lettering would not be legible unless it has a dark coloured outline which is what we did to the title lines
so that the gold colour shows up against the black.
